Technical Specifications & Requirements

Internet Access
You must have a computer with Internet access. High speed access (cable or DSL) is highly recommended to increase your enjoyment of the course.

--------------------

Video and Sound
This course makes extensive use of video, animation and multimedia content. Please ensure your computer is capable of playing video and audio content or your access to the course material will be significantly reduced. See the computer hardware requirements below for additional information and watch the demo video for examples from the course. You will require version 10 or newer of the Flash player to access the full content of this course.  Due to significant security concerns with outdated Flash Players, we strongly recommend downloading and using the latest release of Adobe Flash Player version 10.1 or later.  You can confirm which version of Flash you currently have installed by going here: Flash Player Version Check.
If your version is less than version 8, the latest Flash Player can be downloaded free of charge from this site: Flash Player Download

Pop-Ups
Many Internet users now have pop-up blockers to stop annoying web advertising. Unfortunately this software also sometimes blocks legitimate page links. This course may occasionally instruct your browser to open a new window when you click on a link to an external web site for optional content. We recommend that you allow pop-ups from this site or add bomalearning.com to your trusted sites list so that you can easily access this extra information.
Please Note : The final exam for this course and the course completion certificate require that your browser be able to open a secure window. You will not be able to write the exam or receive your certificate if a pop-up blocker prevents these windows from opening. Please consult your Internet browser, search toolbar (eg. Google or Yahoo) or anti virus or firewall security software help files for information about disabling pop-up blockers.

--------------------

Screen resolution
For an optimal experience of this course, it is recommended that your screen resolution be set at 1024 x 768 or higher.  If your monitor is set to a lower resolution, you may experience difficulty with navigation and some on screen elements may not display correctly.
